Anthony G. Roethlein, 83, of Herminie, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at his home. He was born Sept. 7, 1934, in Pittsburgh, son of the late George and Antoinette (Melcher) Roethlein. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary and Ruth Ann. Anthony was an Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he was a transportation analyst working for Great American Lines in Murrysville for more than 25 years. He was a member of St. Edward Church and a past member of the Knights of Columbus. Anthony enjoyed fishing and especially spending time with his family. Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Kathy (McDonald) Roethlein; three sons, Joseph (Jackie) Roethlein, of Pittsburgh, Anthony (Tracy) Roethlein, of Wexford, Edward (Thelma) Roethlein, of Georgetown, Pa.; stepson, William (Tina) Mann, of Manor; a daughter, Monica (Robert) Malley, of Allison Park; three stepdaughters, Terrie (John) Jepsen, of Irwin, Wendy (Jody) Martz, of Jeannette, Betsy Paulisick and her friend, Joseph Knapp, of Penn; 14 special grandchildren; and one special great-grandson; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Anthony will be dearly missed by his family, friends and neighbors. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at theJOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Edward Church, Herminie.
