Benjamin A. Boettner, 37, of Wendel, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018, at his home. He was born April 13, 1981, in Jeannette, son of Mark P. Boettner, of Irwin, and Jennifer E. (Celio) Schaer, of Wendel. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Antonio and Ethel Celio, and paternal grandfather, George Boettner. Benjamin was a 1999 graduate of Hempfield High School. He was a member of the Herminie-Wendel Athletic Association, enjoyed all sports, camping, fishing and especially gardening. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Jayce Boettner, of Irwin; his three brothers, Mark (Heather) Boettner, of Rillton, Douglas Moore, of Connellsville, and Nathan Boettner, of Jeannette; a sister, Brianna Boettner, of Jeannette; paternal grandmother, Catherine Boettner, of Irwin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and neighbors. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the JOSEPH W.
