Cynthia J. "Cindy" McGrew

Cynthia J. "Cindy" McGrew, 70, of Herminie, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, in Excela Helath Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born July 11, 1948, in Greensburg, daughter of the late James F. and Erna McGrew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Richard McGrew, in 2007. Cindy was a member of St. Edward Church in Herminie. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for Westinghouse as an energy center technician for 46 years. When she retired, she was a valued employee and gained a reputation as a document control expert. Cindy loved line dancing, gardening and her cats. She was good to everyone. She is survived by her niece, Erin (Nick) Pfeifer; and her children, Dylan and Evelyn, of Chandler, Ariz. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. There will be no public visitation per Cindy's wishes. A memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Edward Church, Herminie. Please go directly to church. JOSEPH W.
