George J. Hazuza, 87, of Rillton, passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born Dec. 7, 1930, in Rillton, son of the late Martin and Frances (Bohacik) Hazuza. Prior to his retirement, he was co-owner with his wife, Betty, of Hazuza's Greenhouse, located in Rillton, for more than 55 years, where he was still helping out in the greenhouse, always smiling and building carry-out boxes for his customers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially vacationing in his motor home with his wife. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his family. George is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Jean (Kauffman) Hazuza; three daughters, Kim (Mark) Stawicki, of North Huntingdon, Sharon (Mark) Primus, of Penn, and Debora Lightner, of North Huntingdon; his son, Greg (Cindy) Hazuza, of Rillton; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
