Janiene (Powers) DeWalt

Janiene DeWalt, 42, of Greensburg, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Nov. 7, 1975, in Jeannette, a daughter of James and Charlotte (Maszkiewicz) Powers, of North Huntingdon. Spending time with her family was the most important part of her life. She enjoyed camping and going to the mountains, sitting around the campfire and loved shopping at Wal Mart. She would give you the shirt off her back and would always put her family and friends before herself. In addition to her parents, Janiene is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Rory E. DeWalt, and her two sons, Austin V. and Brady A. DeWalt, at home; two brothers, James (Marcy) Powers, of Irwin, and Christopher (Beth) Powers, of Murrysville; two sisters, Rene (Eric) List, of Irwin, and Kelly Powers and boyfriend, Scott, of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Janiene's caring and giving ways will forever be remembered and she will be dearly missed by her family and special friends. There will be no public visitation, per Janiene's wishes. A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held from noon until 4 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Herminie VFW Post 8427, 501 Church St., Herminie, PA 15637.
