Kathy L. (Freeman) Solomon

Kathy L. Solomon, 57, of Rillton, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, in UPMC Shadyside, surrounded by her family. She was born March 31, 1960, in Altoona, daughter of the late Donald and Nancy (Moses) Freeman. Kathy had worked for US Foods for over 25 years in the sales department. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in North Versailles, enjoyed cooking and reading, and loved spending time in her flower garden, especially picking her favorite dahlias. Kathy is survived by her loving husband, William Solomon; a daughter, Kalina (Jeremy) Noel, of Burgettstown; special granddaughter, Quinlynn; two brothers, Donald Freeman and Shawn (Heidi) Freeman, both of Claysburg; and a sister, Sherrie (Kenny) Pote, of Roaring Springs;  father- and mother-in-law, Steve and Henrietta Solomon of Herminie; and several nieces and nephews. Kathy will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John's Lutheran Church, 715 Lincoln Highway, North Versailles, with Pastor Richard Krug officiating.
