Alberta "Bert" (Moritz) Steban, 84, of Lowber, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Hempfield Manor. She was born October 29, 1937, in McKeesport, to the late Eugene and Anna (Berkoben) Moritz. She was a paramedic for over 50 years and worked in medical billing for Jeannette EMS the last several years. Bert was Lutheran by faith; a charter member of the Sewickley Twp. Ambulance Service; she started the Yough Women's Softball League, was a member of the Lowber Ladies Auxiliary and a past president of the Lowber VFD; and she was a member of the Yough Youth Commission; Bert had a great love for the Pittsburgh Steelers, flowers and feeding her birds; she also enjoyed camping at her Lake Erie campsite and greatly enjoyed family time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmie Steban and John Steban; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Joy Steban. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ronald E. Steban; two children, Charlie Steban of Herminie, and Kim A. Steban of Collinsburg; numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2022, JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Herminie, 724- 446-7251, where a funeral service will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Janice Tokarsky officiating.
