Angelo L. Bazzo Jr.

Angelo L. Bazzo Jr., 75, of Herminie, passed away Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Oct. 21, 1946, in Braddock, a son of the late Angelo L. and Albina (Gradisek) Bazzo Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Susan M. "Suzi" Bazzo, this past May. Angelo started working at his pap's store in Rillton, "Bazzo's General Store," when he was 13 years old. He was a 1964 graduate of Sewickley High School. Angelo was a Navy veteran during Vietnam, serving on the U.S.S. Forrestal CVA-59 in the communications department. He started working as a truck driver in February 1973 at Shuster's in Rillton for the next 48 years. He enjoyed life to the fullest; he lived and worked for his wife and children. They enjoyed their yearly trips to Myrtle Beach. He was also a Steelers fan, loved cutting grass then sitting on his swing just enjoying the view. He also loved his Corvettes, owning 12 at one time. He will be dearly missed by his family and the many friends he made over the years. Angelo is survived by his daughter, Justine Bazzo, of Herminie; two sons, Blaize Bazzo and fiancee, Missy Lancaster, of Rillton, and Chaz Bazzo, of Herminie; a brother, David Bazzo, of Herminie; and two sisters, Carol Bazzo, of Rillton, and Jeanne (Jeff) Terzolino, of Jeannette; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, in the funeral home. Entombment with full military honors will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
