Anna Mae (Bolko) Feltes

Anna Mae Feltes, 93, of Herminie No. 2, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, at her home. She was born Sept. 24, 1929, in Herminie No 2, daughter of the late Christ and Mollie (Ferjancic) Bolko. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, William, Frank and Christ Jr. Bolko; two sisters, Lillian M. Albert and Marie A. Rand. Prior to her retirement, Anna was a rural carrier for the US Postal Service having worked in Irwin for more than 30 years. Anna was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church, Irwin, and also a member of the SNPJ Lodge No. 87, Herminie. She loved playing cards with her friends, going to the casino and gardening. She loved listening to polkas on Sunday mornings and polka dancing. She also was happy traveling with her family and friends and was also known as the pole sitter for Irwin Community Days. Anna is survived by her two sons, George (Joyce) Feltes, of Greensburg, and Andrew (Dianna) Feltes, of North Carolina; daughter, Deborra Feltes, of Greensburg; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Anna will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
