Betty J. “Betty Lou” (Banczek) Zvara

Betty J. “Betty Lou” Zvara, 83, of Jeannette, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 19th, 2024, in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg, surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 18th, 1941, in Claridge, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Banczek) Zvara. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Joseph Zvara and sister Lois (Zvara) Wigginton;  nephews Terry Wigginton and Jeffery Zvara.

Prior to her retirement,  she had worked at Jeannette Glass as a factory worker for many years. She enjoyed playing solitaire and had a special place in her heart for her two cats Casper and Jasper. 

Betty is survived by her son, Todd Zvara of Jeannette; her brother Robert Zvara of OH; 9 nieces and nephews; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Betty will be dearly missed by her family, and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Westmoreland Manor for their love and care given to Betty over the past five years.

There will be no public visitation per Betty’s wishes. A service will be held at 11 a.m.,  Friday, Dec.  27th  graveside  In Woodlawn Cemetery at Denmark Manor, Export  PA. All are welcome to attend.
