Beverly J. (Williams) Cortese

Beverly J. Cortese, 68, of Smithton “Reduction”, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, at her home.  She was born December 18, 1954 in Braddock, daughter of the late George and Florence (Curry) Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin G.Cortese.  Bev was a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School, Class of 1972. Prior to her retirement, she was a unit clerk having worked at Forbes Hospital for many years. Bev loved the simple things in life. She loved her family with all her heart and soul. Most importantly was family gatherings that she always looked forward to. Bev is survived by her daughter, Seana Cortese and her fiancé, Gary Beaufort of Greensburg; son, Casey Cortese of West Newton; two special grandchildren , Colton Balog-Cortese and Shyan Cortese; special great-granddaughter, Aniah Keys; a sister, Marcia Williams-Sadock of Jeannette and two brothers, Donald Williams of Greensburg and Jeffrey Williams of York; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  She is also survive by her beloved dog Bruce, who was always by her side. Bev will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Per her wishes there will be no public viewing .  A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. JOSEPH W.
