Carol A. (Fraicola) Aujay

Carol A. Aujay, 77, of Hutchinson, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  She was born January 5, 1945 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Yelich) Fraicola Thompson and late step-father, George F. “Red” Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael “Butch” Fraicola and niece, Debbie Fraicola. Carol was a past member of St. Edward Church in Herminie. She enjoyed doing crafts, gardening and especially her flowers. She loved spending time with her grandsons, traveling to all their activities over the years. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, John “Jack”  Aujay;  son, Michael (Rita) Aujay of Lowber; three special grandsons, Peyton, Logan and Milan; brother, William (Luann) Fraicola of North Huntingdon; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived her dog Benji. Carol will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
