Catherine R. Gradisek

Catherine R. Gradisek, 78, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Herminie, entered eternal life Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, at Baptist Health in Louisville, Ky. She was a very devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who always put her family first. She graduated from Sewickley Township High School, class of 1955, Douglas Business School, and a member of SNPJ Lodge 87 in Herminie. Catherine was born to the late Michael and Barbara Medved in Yukon, Pa. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Frank Gradisek; children, Frank Gradisek Jr., Karen (Douglas) Budd and Vincent (Beverly) Gradisek; brother, Steve Medved; grandchildren, Elizabeth Gradisek and Sophie Budd; and many extended family members. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday,  at JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME in Herminie, PA, 724-446-7251.  A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Edwards Catholic Church, Herminie. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to: SNPJ Scholarship Fund, SNPJ - 247 W.
