Charlene M. (Semko) Kott

Charlene M. Kott , 78, of Smithton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at The Villages of Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. She was born Nov. 18, 1946, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Francis “Frank” and Charlotte (Kelly) Semko. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her  husband Thomas J. "Tom" Kott; and sister, Katherine Rodgers. 
Charlene had worked numerous years for JC Penny Co. and Stewart Medical in Greensburg. In her later years she was an active member of the Greensburg Garden Club. She also enjoyed luncheons with her high school classmates and spending time with friends and family. 
Charlene is survived by her son, Tom  (Tonya) Kott, of Mt. Pleasant; and beloved granddaughter, Kaitlyn Kott; numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in - law; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces , and great-nephews, and her dog and loyal companion, Maggie. 
Charlene will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and neighbors near and far.  The family would like to thank staff and caregivers at The Villages of Harmon House and Medi Home Hospice, for all their love and compassionate care.  Please make a memorial donation to your local animal shelter in memory of Charlene.
