Cheryl A. Stubbs, 56, of Herminie, died unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at her home. She was born Oct. 19, 1959, in Jeannette, daughter of the late Herbert and Esta (Stough) Stubbs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Eddie Burkett, who passed a week prior. Prior to her retirement, she was a store manager having worked for Hit or Miss Clothing Store in numerous locations. She enjoyed cooking, loved to read and was an avid acquirer of pig collectibles. Cheryl is survived by her two sisters, Rebecca (Richard) Henrie, of Herminie, and Lori Stubbs, of Mechanicsburg; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her faithful companion, Hugo. Cheryl will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Per Cheryl's wishes, there will be no public visitation. A joint memorial service for the celebration of the lives of Cheryl and Eddie will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at West Newton United Presbyterian Church, Fourth and Main Streets, West Newton, PA 15089, with the Rev.
