Daniel "Dan" Golobish

Daniel Golobish, 60, of Indian Trail, NC, (formerly of Herminie, PA) passed away on January 10, 2022.

Mr. Golobish was born July 22, 1961, in Greensburg, to son of the late Rudolph “Rudy” and Dorothy (Oberley) Golobish.

He was a member of Indian Trail United Methodist Church. Dan graduated from Yough High School and California State University, Fullerton earning his Bachelor’s degree in business.

“Uncle Bucky, double trouble and brother” were nicknames Dan acquired as a youth and some still stuck into his adulthood. Dan dedicated his life to his family. He never met a stranger or let his wheelchair slow him down. He beat Leukemia and was videotaped getting up from his wheelchair walking (with his wife and children by his side) across the finish line on the survivor walk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI-dshunRJ8 He was a former member of Union West Rotary Club. Dan was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Dan is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Judy (Schnur) Golobish; daughter Elizabeth Ann and twin sons, Daniel Frank and Jack Lawrence; his four-legged companions Rex and Holly; siblings; Judy Noble of Palmyra, PA, Dave Golobish of Florida, Patty (John) Yazembiak of Albion, PA, Rudy (Sharon) Golobish of Rillton, PA, Karen (Peter) Mihalick of Akron, OH, Ginger Golobish of Westfield, IN, Randy Golobish of Eastanolle, GA , Albert (Peggy) Golobish of Fayetteville, NC, Sam (Robin) Golobish of Indian Trail, NC, Tammy (Ed) Kerr of Willington, CT; and numerous nieces and nephews, great and great greats.

Dan was preceded in death by brothers Larry and Andy Golobish, niece Rhonda Bauer and great-nephew Austin Forrer.

Family and friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Joseph W. Nickels Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held at 1p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Hilltop United Methodist Church in Madison, PA.  (please meet at the church).  He will have another celebration at Indian Trail United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2pm, the family will begin to receive friends at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hilltop U.M.C. or Indian Trail U.M.C.
