David “Dave” R. Bibel

David R. “Dave” Bibel , 66, of Smithton, passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026 in Frick Hospital,  Mount Pleasant , with his family by  his side. He was born  Oct. 23, 1959 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Steve Jr.  and Ruth (Kelley) Bibel.
Dave was a 1977 Yough graduate and was a faithful member of the Barren Run United Methodist Church.  Prior to his retirement,  in 2023 he was a broker /dispatcher having work for Tom Lange Co. in Pittsburgh for 28 years.  Dave love to golf and enjoyed going to the casino. He would love to sit on his front porch and patrol the neighborhood.  Dave had a heart of gold, always giving, and will forever be remembered for his love for his family and many friends near and far.  He was definitely a giver and had a very good sense of humor. 
Dave  is survived by his beloved wife and caregiver of 44 years , Jamie A. ( Jablonski) Bibel and  his favorite companion , Reesee;  a sister, Audrey (John) Zorosak of Indian Head and Timothy (Jackie)  Bibel of Acme; special  nieces and nephews, Amanda and Tim Lisbon, Jessica and Christopher Kilbane , John and Tabby  Zorosak, Nicholas Bibel, Zachary Bibel and fiancé, Samantha Snow, Justin Bibel ; special, great niece, and great nephews, Laura and John Henry Lisbon, Sean and Myles Kilbane; and numerous cousins. The family would like to  thank his cousin and caregiver, Helen Crise , for her love and compassionate care given to Dave. 
Friends will be received from NOON  to  3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7,  2026 at the Barren Run United Methodist Church, 569 Barren Run Road, Smithton, PA at which time a service will be held with Pastor Kimberly Foos presiding.
