Donald F. Ghion

Donald F. Ghion, 66, of Herminie, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 28, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 7, 1955, in Greensburg, a son of the late Frank M. “Maxie” and Mary (Bailley) Ghion. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Ghion. Don was a purchasing manager for Mt. View in Greensburg for decades and for the past 15 years was a helping hand and caring friend at the Jamison Farms in Latrobe.  He mostly enjoyed going to work and especially loved gardening. Don is survived by his two daughters, Rachel DeForrest of New Alexandria and Amber (David) Ghion Vargo of North Huntingdon; two grandsons, Derek DeForrest and Nicholas Vargo; special friends, John and Sukey Jamison; sister, Audrey (Jim) Harnish of AZ; several nieces and nephews.  Don will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
