Donna L. Carosella, 82, of Herminie, died Thursday, July 27, 2017, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Aug. 8, 1934, in Windber, Cambria County, a daughter of the late Clyde J. and Mildred (Webb) Freeman Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Carosella Sr.; a brother, Wayne Freeman, and a sister, Retta Reynolds. Donna was also preceded in death by her dear friend and companion of 10 years, Justino "Josh" Gioannini. Donna enjoyed bowling, going out to eat with her family and friends, dancing and especially shopping. She, "GG," loved spending time with her great-grandchildren. Donna is survived by her daughter, Winogene (Ed) Persin, of Export; grandson, Nathan (Corey) Roth, of West Newton; three special great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jaclyn and Kendra Roth; a brother, Clyde J. (Melanie) Freeman Jr., of Florida; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Donna will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Harrold Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Greensburg.
