Obituary
Donna Eileen Farkas, 81, of Sutersville, passed away Thursday , Aug. 17, 2023, in AHN Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills, with her family by her side. She was born July 14, 1942, in Gratztown, daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (George) Farmer Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Cheyenne N. Kassler; three brothers, Walter Jr., Gary and Bobby Farmer; and two sisters, Shirley Schwab and Patty Haddock. Donna enjoyed watching TV, especially when the Steelers came on. She loved sitting on the porch swing having her coffee "tea" with her sister "Peach" every morning. She absolutely loved going to Myrtle Beach each summer and spending time with her family and great-grandkids always came first. She also enjoyed going for rides with Bob any time of the year. Donna is survived by her loving husband and caregiver "her favorite nurse" of 62 years, Robert D. Farkas; daughter, Lisa R. (Farkas) Kassler and her friend, Ronald Raymond; son, Randy (Diane) Farkas, all of Sutersville; five grandchildren, Amanda (Daniel) Mough, Daniel Farkas, Dakota Kassler, Alisha (Nick) McKeel and Ben (Sarah) Farkas; five special great-grandchildren, Madeline, Allison, Lucas, Sullivan and Ashley (Ash); a brother, Eugene (Louise) Farmer, of Collinsburg; a sister, Helen (Gary) DeBarr, of Sutersville; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank the ICU nurses at Jefferson Hospital for the love and attention given to Donna. She will forever be remembered for her unconditional love for her family, and she will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Per Donna's wishes, there will be no public visitation.
