Doris F. Ruddon, 100, formerly of Latrobe and Johnstown, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021, in Walnut Ridge Memory Care in Greensburg. She was born April 23, 1920, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Millard D. and Hilda (Carney) Evans. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Francis W. Ruddon, in 1990; her son, Richard (Joann) Leckey; son-in-law, Stan Reid; two sisters, Phyliss and Romaine; three brothers, Gary, Wendel and Eugene Evans; grandson, Joey; and granddaughter, Cara. Doris was a past member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Latrobe. She loved doing crafts, sewing and enjoyed traveling. Doris is survived by her daughter, Nancy Reid, of Massachusetts; her son, Clarence (Karen) Ruddon, of Herminie; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Doris will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Stone Brook Manor, Ridgeview Residential Care, Walnut Ridge and Via Quest Hospice for all their love and care over the past years. There will be no public visitation, per Doris's wishes. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date in Johnstown. JOSEPH W.
