ELizabeth Emma (Kampert) Gray

Elizabeth E. Gray, 90, of Arona, died Sunday, July 2, 2017, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Nov. 20, 1926, in West Elizabeth, a daughter of the late Ludwig and Magdalene (Rothbauer) Kampert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest J. Gray Sr.; her son, Ernest J. Gray Jr.; three sisters, Mary Magiske, Catherine Casaldi and Barbara Spargal; and three brothers, Leo, Joseph and John Kampert. She was a member of St. Edward Church in Herminie. She spent most of her life making a loving, happy home for her husband and six children. Her faith was very important to her. She spent her last years watching Mother Angelica and praying for everyone in the family. Elizabeth is survived by her four sons, Gary (Laureen) Gray, of Bolivar, Raymond (Sue) Gray, of Ruffsdale, Richard Gray, of Arona, and Robert Gray, of Manassas, Va.; a daughter, Mary (Don) Ausec, of New Stanton; and 13 grandchildren, Paula, Brian, Scott, Tamara, Alison, Jennifer, Amy, Robbie, Jordan, Rheana, Sarah, Amanda and Don Michael; 19 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Elizabeth will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. There will be no public visitation per Elizabeth's wishes. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Edward Church, Herminie. Please go directly to church. JOSEPH W.
