Elizabeth J. (Betty) (Quinn) Martin

Elizabeth J. "Betty" Martin, 85, of West Newton, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, in Gardens of Lincoln Court, North Versailles. She was born March 11, 1931, in Carrick, a daughter of the late John and Clara (Koehler) Quinn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Martin III, in 1999; her son, William J. Martin; two brothers, John (Jack) and Robert Quinn; and a sister, Clara Dillinger. Betty was an avid reader. She enjoyed cooking, baking and loved to crochet afghans for her family and friends. She especially loved children and was a foster mom for more than five years. Betty is survived by her daughter, Kathleen E. (Leonard) Cudnik, of Mt. Pleasant; two sons, Kenneth G. (Karen) Martin, of Mt. Pleasant, and John R. (Mary) Martin, of Darragh; daughter-in-law, Debra Costanzo, of Herminie; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Patricia Quinn, of Pittsburgh; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Betty will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the JOSEPH W.
