Elizabeth “Betsy” E. (Barrowcliff) Guardasoni

Elizabeth “Betsy” Guardasoni, 85, of Irwin, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 3, 1940 in McKeesport,  daughter of the late Norman Barrowcliff  and Margaret ( Sullenger)   Stenger. 
In addition to herb parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husbands , Roy D. Owens and Harry  R. Guardasoni; a brother, Charles Stenger, and sister, Norma Bash; special grandson, Steven J. Fryman. 
Prior to her retirement, Betsy was a paralegal having worked for numerous law offices in Greensburg. She also was a field survey specialist having worked at the Research Triangle Institute.  She enjoyed bowling and loved to watch baseball and was also an avid reader. She was always telling stories and jokes, but most of all she loved having stuffed animal parties for her grandchildren and loved playing board games with them . She especially loved playing Scrabble with her cousin, Suzanne.  She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Fort Allen and was also a hospice volunteer for 25 years.
Betsy is survived  by her two sons, Roy L.  (Vivian) Owens of NC, and H. Paul (Dian) Guardasoni, of Irwin; three daughters, Maureen (Dave) Williams, Edith (Mike) Kistler and Marie Fryman  ( Jeremy Silbaugh) all of of Irwin; 13 grandchildren, Sabrina, Jill, Dale, Owen, Samantha, Jonathan, Whitney, Elliot, P.J., Richard, Philip, and Dalana ; 14 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Nathanael, Vivian, Russell, Allison , Kaelynn, Lane, Millie, Kenton, Waylon, Ryker, Kennedy, Fox, and Riley; a sister, Bonney Gray of OH; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and neighbors. 
Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m.  Friday  Oct. 31, 2025,  at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1st , 2025,  in the funeral home. Interment  will follow in Settlers Cemetery, Irwin.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Sewickley Township Public Library, 312 Sewickley Ave.  Herminie, Pa, 15637, in memory of  Betsy, for her love of reading .
