Frank J. “Joe” “Joe Pape” Wultsch, 86, of Herminie (Keystone), passed away Tuesday October 15, 2024, at his home. He was born April 5, 1938, in Herminie, son of the late Joseph and Alma (Dolence) Wultsch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wultsch and his sister, Joan H. Brewer. He was a graduate of Sewickley High School, Class of 1957. Joe was a US Army veteran, having served in Korea. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed with PennDOT, for more than 35 years, in maintenance/road crew departments. He loved to cook, enjoyed fishing and gardening, both flowers and vegetables. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will forever be remembered for his generosity and his random visits to share his fresh garden vegetables and favorite dishes, such as stuffed hot peppers and ham barbecue. Frank was also known as “Joe” and “Joe Pape”.
Joe is survived by his sister-in-law, Joan Wultsch, of Arona; nephews and nieces, Robert Wultsch, Jeanne (Joseph) Kertis, Arnold (Sherry) Brewer, Kathryn (Thomas) Walsh, and Suzanne (Gary) Gigliotti; great-nieces and great-nephews, whom he loved dearly. Joe will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Per Joe’s wishes, a private inurnment with Military Honors will be held in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, at a later date. JOSEPH W.
