Gary John Shink

It is with great sadness our family shares that Gary John Shink, 72, of Yukon, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. He was born May 21, 1952, in Greensburg, the son of the late John and Frances (Ursic) Shink.
After graduating from high school, he attended Penn State University in State College for three years and then California University of Pennsylvania where he excelled in the study of history and political science.

Prior to his retirement he was employed with U.S. Steel. He loved to hunt and fish and was an avid Penn State football fan. He frequently traveled to Jamaica, where he loved the country, its people, and especially its music. He is survived by his beloved son, Jon Michael (Iyana) Shink of Maryland; two precious grandchildren, Arlo Shink and Sanai Gibson; mother of his son, Denise Shink of White Oak; two sisters, Linda (Leslie Nettelmann) Shink of Zelienople and Shari Shink (Robert Otto, deceased) of Colorado. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
