George B. Dunn, 48, of Herminie No. 2, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, after a four-year battle with bladder cancer. He was born Nov. 12, 1968, in Greensburg, a son of William and Nancy (Bianco) Dunn, of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alexandro and Mary Grace Bianco; and his paternal grandparents, George B. Dunn and Margaret Dunn Breeze; and brother-in-law, Don Moore. George was employed as a machinist, having worked for Electromet, located in Johnstown, prior to his illness. He always enjoyed spending time with his sons, working on derby cars, going to derbies, hunting and riding quads. He also enjoyed hanging out with his boys, Josh, Joe, Greg, Jimmy and Travis. George is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Brenda (Kauffman) Dunn; two sons, Zack Dunn, and his girlfriend, Sadie, of Latrobe, and Jake Dunn, of Herminie No. 2; two brothers, Dan (Molly) Dunn, of Holsopple, and Bill (Dee) Dunn, of Latrobe; four sisters, Angela (Jason) Thomas and Andrea (Brett) Weppelman, both of New Alexandria, Amanda (Russ) Sleasman, of Mt. Pleasant, and Candy Moore, of Latrobe; special cousin, Darren Bianco, of Youngwood; along with nieces and nephews. George will be sadly missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
