Gladys M. "Glady" (Kauffman) Cochran

Gladys M. Cochran, 65, of Grapeville, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born March 16, 1951, in Herminie No. 2, daughter of the late Richard B. and Ethel L. (Mellinger) Kauffman. Glady was currently employed by Gabriel Bros. in Greensburg in customer service and was proud to an employee there for over the past 30 years. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, sitting on the back porch feeding birds and squirrels and she loved butterflies. Her delicious "family function" meals will be greatly missed. She was a devoted wife, mother and special grandmother. Glady is survived by her husband, Ray Cochran, they would of celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on July 1; a daughter, Sheri Marie (Dan) McDonald, of Herminie No. 2; a son, Christopher Ray Cochran, of Grapeville; three grandsons, Cody, Christopher Ray Jr. and Shea Cochran; a step-granddaughter, Sarah McDonald; two brothers, Rick (Kathleen) Kauffman, of Ridgeley, W.Va., and Bill Kauffman and Sheri Hennig, of Irwin; and a sister, Brenda (George) Dunn, of Herminie No. 2; numerous nieces, nephews and a great-niece. Glady will be dearly missed by her family, friends, neighbors and all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Ross officiating.
