John W. "Jack" Aujay, 80, of Hutchinson, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born May 4, 1943, in Jeannette, a son of the late John and Elizabeth "Betty" (Critchfield) Aujay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol A. Aujay in 2022; his brother, Larry Aujay; and his brother-in-law, Michael "Butch" Fraicola; niece, Debbie Fraicola; and his dog and best buddy, Benji. Jack was a graduate of Sewickley High School, Class of 1961. He was a past member of the New Mars Hill Baptist Church. In his younger years, Jack was a barber, having trained under Leo Caviggia in Herminie, then opening his own shop in Rillton for many years. Prior to his retirement, he was a foreman, having worked for PennDOT. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and all sports. He loved spending time with his grandsons, traveling to all their activities over the years and he loved his Stoney's beer. Jack is survived by his son, Michael J. (Rita) Aujay, of Lowber; three special grandsons, Peyton, Logan and Milan; brother-in-law, William (Luann) Fraicola, of North Huntingdon; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Jack will be dearly missed by his family, friends and neighbors. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at JOSEPH W.
