Kenneth T. Murphy, 70, of Herminie, passed away suddenly Monday, April 4, 2016, at UPMC East, Monroeville. He was born July 17, 1945, in McKeesport, a son of the late Joseph and Lois (Johnson) Murphy. He was an Army veteran having served during Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, Ken was vice president of Household Financial Corp. in Monroeville for more than 25 years. Ken was currently employed by American Windows in Forest Hills as marketing representative. He was an avid golfer, reader and most of all he loved spending time with his grandson, Kenny. He was truly a Notre Dame fan at heart. Ken is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Patricia "Patti" (Malpezzi) German; his special stepchildren, Jacki (Ken) Kienzle, of North Huntingdon, and Frank German, of Herminie; special grandson, Kenny Kienzle; and a sister, Kathy Davis, of Columbus, Ohio. Ken is also survived by Jimmy (Diane) Montini and their daughter, Maria, of Irwin, whom he loved dearly; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Ken was a man of many words and loved to tell stories, some of which were actually true. He will be forever missed by his family and many friends. There will be no public viewing per Ken's wishes. A memorial service to celebrate Ken's life will be held at a later time and date to be announced. JOSEPH W.
