M. Celeste (Popp) Koslow

M. Celeste Koslow, 93, of Irwin, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in Walden’s  View Senior Living, North Huntingdon, surrounded by her family. She was born April 7,  1932  in Sharpsburg, daughter of the late Harry and Myrtle ( McClafferty) Popp. In addition to her  parents,  she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick G. Koslow in 2018; a brother, Jim Popp and a sister, Margaret Huffman. 
Celeste was a member of St. Edward Church in Herminie and was the church secretary for many years.  She loved to crochet and also volunteer at numerous libraries in the surrounding area.  She  enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family. 
Celeste is survived by her daughter, Celeste (John) Dirk, of New Jersey; a son, Paul F. (Kelly) Koslow, of Irwin; four special grandchildren, Niki (Dustin) Wiltrout, Justin Dirk, and Brianna and Colton Koslow; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. 
Celeste was a special lady and had a heart of gold; she will forever be remembered and dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. The family would like to thank the staff at Walden’s  View  and Anova Hospice for all their love and compassionate  care given to their mom. 
Friends will be received from 5 to8 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2025, at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, 724-446-7251. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday , July 19, 2025 in St. Edward Church, Herminie. Private interment  will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Greensburg. PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO CHURCH.
