Margaret A. Sylvania-Wilson, 72, of Herminie, passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 31, 1946 in Jeannette, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen J. (Miller) Gnesda. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joey Gnesda. Peggy was employed by Kings Family Restaurant on 119 as a waitress for 18 years and retired as a sales clerk, having worked for Walmart in Greensburg. She was a member of St. Edward Church in Herminie, and she loved her many trips to Disney World to see Mickey. Peggy is survived by her son, Rob Sylvania, of Herminie, with whom she resided; a daughter, Lisa (James) Fox, of Irwin; a brother, Thomas (Karen) Gnesda, of North Carolina; two nephews, Ryan Gnesda and Stephen (Megan) Gnesda; great-nephew, Cooper; and great-niece, Eloise. Peggy will be dearly missed by her dear friends and all her customers she has met over the years. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., Herminie, 724-446-7251, at which time a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Susan G.
