Marie (Harvey) Globosky

Marie Harvey Globosky, 86, of Rillton, died peacefully at her home Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born July 14, 1936, in Bradford. She was raised by the late John and Anna Harvey, whom she loved dearly. In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Wally" Globosky, in 2008; and her sister-in-law, Judy Thoma. Prior to her retirement, she worked on the assembly line for Dormont Manufacturing in Export for many years. She was a member of the Herminie United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and belonged to the Quilters Club, making quilts for the homeless. She loved attending bingo and going to the casino with her friends. She was also a member of the Herminie Senior Center. She also loved attending girl scouts events with her daughter in her younger years. Marie enjoyed Sunday dinners and was well known and famous for her "red velvet" cake recipe from her grandmother. She also loved to go dancing with her family and friends. She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, especially attending their sports and activities. Marie is survived by her daughter, Teresa Globosky Dubich, of Rillton; a stepson, Kevin (Maxine) Hengeli, of New Jersey; two grandchildren, Mandy (Jeremy) Neidigh and Nathan (Ashley) Dubich; five, special great-grandchildren, Mason, Brantley, Nathan Jr., Emma and Chloe Marie; a brother, Richard Thoma, of Adamsburg; a sister, Betty Reita, of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Marie will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. The family would like to thank a very special niece, Robin, and AHN Hospice, Alane and Mila, for all their love and compassionate care. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Barry Henck officiating.
