Mary J. Premich, 92, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Herminie, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 20, 1923, in Herminie No. 2, daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Bogus) Waselesky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Premich Sr., in 2012; four brothers, Walter, Stanley, Alex and Frank Waselesky; and four sisters, Victoria Markosky, Gladys Stepinsky, Frances Starko and Adeline Zagar. Mary was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Herminie. She was co-owner with husband, "John", of J&M "Pitter's Bar" in Herminie for 37 years where she enjoyed bartending and socializing with all her customers and friends. Mary is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Ward) Duncan, and her son, John (Lisa) Premich Jr., all of Greensburg; four special grandchildren, Anthony and Amy Duncan and Johnna and Justin Premich; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great nephews. Mary's holiday house decorating and family get-togethers will be missed by all who loved her. Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, 724-446-7251. A funeral liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
