Minerva E. "Snookie" Adams, 94, of Herminie, passed away Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at her home. She was born Aug. 11, 1923, in Herminie, daughter of the late Josiah and Kathryn (Kretchek) Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Adams; her son, James H. "Jim" Adams; a sister, Marie Long; and a brother, Howard Long. Snookie loved playing cards with her family and friends, she enjoyed shopping, and talking to her cat, Willie, whom she loved dearly. Snookie is survived by her daughter-in-law, Marsha Adams, of Herminie; two grandchildren, Naydine (William) Hanna and Jamie Adams; four great-grandchildren, Ashley (Samuel) Slates, William, James and Ian Hanna; and four great-great-grandchildren, Arianna, Theresa, Leon and Selena. She is also survived by her special niece, Tonna (James) Bogac, of Madison. Snookie's spunk, smile and waving in her little red car will be sadly missed by her family, friends and neighbors in town. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, at which time a funeral service will be held in the funeral home.
