Mona C. (Burkett) Guardasoni, 79, of Latrobe, formerly of Irwin (Guffey), died Friday, June 10, 2016, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born Dec. 5, 1936, in Washington, Pa., a daughter of the late Robert and Audrey (Taylor) Salisbury. Mona was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, New Stanton. Mona was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Bucky" Guardasoni, in 2006. She is survived by her children, Brenda Lockwood and her husband, Cliff, of West Newton, Jody Pioveson, of Latrobe, Bruce Hickman, Tracy Hickman, of Irwin, and Franki Nicolard, of Latrobe; 11 grandchildren, Mike, Matt, Kim, Ron, Marcy, Jacob, Jamie, Carolyn, Victor, Daniel and Angel; and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Richard C. Sementilli officiating. Interment will follow in Coulter Cemetery.
