Patricia A. Ulyan, 84, of Lowber, passed away peacefully in Arden Courts, Monroeville, Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, with her daughter by her side. She was born May 4, 1938, in McKeesport, daughter of the late Donald and Anna (Kolesar) Hiiva. In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Ulyan (2009); two brothers, Jack and Robert Hiiva; brother-in-law, Tony Ulyan, and sister-in-law, Mary Frances Angelcyk. Pat was a past member of St. Charles Church in Sutersville and later the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in West Newton. She enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales and collecting antiques. She loved the outdoors, especially gardening and cutting grass. Pat is survived by her daughter, Jacquelyn (Ron) Reese, of Jeannette; two sisters, Marlene (Matt) Yurkovich, of West Newton, and Dolores (Jim) Schell, of Jeannette; sister-in-law, Sandy Ulyan, of Lowber; brother-in-law, Sonny Angelcyk, of West Newton; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Pat will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. The family would like to thank Arden Court and Promedica Hospice, for all their love and compassionate care. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, West Newton. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
