Patty A. (Sweeney) Kosor

Patty A. Kosor, 83, of Youngwood,  passed away on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026 in Hempfield  Manor, Greensburg, surrounded by her family. She  was born on February 8, 1942 in Yukon, a daughter of the late Frank and Betty (Beechman) Sweeney. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters,  Cookie  Sweeney and Rose Nagy. 
Prior to her retirement,  Patty was a beautician for more than 50 years. She loved cooking , entertaining, and watching sporting events with her friends and family, she especially  enjoyed  watching her Steelers. 
Patty is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Kosor and fiancé Shane Teator , of North Carolina; two brothers, George  (Sandy) Sweeney and Frank  (Rosemarie) Sweeney Jr. , of Springdale; brother-in-law, Don Nagy of North Huntingdon; three sisters, Betty  Nagy of  Greensburg ,  Marie Kosor of Georgia, and Theresa  Odelli of Smithton; and numerous special nieces and nephews, great -nieces, and great -nephews whom she loved dearly. 
Patty will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and neighbors.
Friends will be received from  noon  to  2 p.m.  Thursday,  Feb.  5, 2026, at the Joseph W.  Nickels Funeral Home Inc. 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA  15637 at which time a funeral service will be held in the funeral home.  Entombment  will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township .
