Paula A. Stevens, 56, of Penfield, formerly of Herminie, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, at her home. She was born Oct. 29, 1965, in Greensburg, daughter of Paul Richardson and his companion, Joan Lindsay, of Herminie, and the late Patricia (Truswell) Richardson. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse G. Stevens Jr. Paula was a Yough High School graduate, Class of 1983. Prior to her disability, she was both a taxi driver for Tri-County Access and distributed medical supplies for the U.S. PAC. She was an avid reader, especially history books. She was a past member of St. Edward Church, Herminie, and could be found writing scripture daily in her journal. She also donated generously to 19 charities over the years. Paula was a diehard Steeler fan, loved music (Kiss and Foreigner), but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren made her so happy. In addition to her father, Paula is survived by her children, Jesse G. Stevens III, of West Virginia, Natasha (A.J.) Lewis, of Penfield, Holly (Brandon) Kelly, of Penfield and Shannon Stevens-Conklin, of West Virginia; four special grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Brandon, Mason and Monica; sister, Sonia (Steve) Early, of Ohio; brother, Jeffrey Richardson; niece, Taylor Hasson; and nephew, Shane Paul Richardson; Paula will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A memorial gathering will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, at JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251, a memorial service will then be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m. to celebrate Paula's life.
