Peter Spinogatti, 95, of Rillton, passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born Sept. 12, 1920, in Rillton, son of the late Antonio and Giovina (Dellapenna) Spinogatti. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Spinogatti, and his two sisters, Rose Stevenson and Angeline Detar. Pete was an Army veteran, having served during World War II. Prior to his retirement, he was self-employed, having his own salvage yard, Rillton Auto Wrecking, for more than 41 years. He enjoyed fishing and loved camping on the weekends with his family. "Uncle Pete" is survived by his numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, whom loved him dearly and will miss his great stories and loving, caring ways. He is also survived by faithful companion, "Romeo" who never left his bedside. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Excela Hospice for their compassionate care.
