R. David Guerrieri, 68, of Herminie, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at home, surround by his family and close friends, after a courageous battle with ALS. He was born March 8, 1955, in Greensburg, son of the late Eugene and Mildred (Arnold) Guerrieri. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene "Jeep" Guerrieri; and a nephew, David Lewis. David was a member of St. Edward Church, Herminie. He enjoyed life to its fullest. He was an outdoorsman, always keeping busy, especially doing yard work. His pride and joy was spending time with his grandchildren, he loved them with all his heart. David is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Susan M. (Dubovsky) Guerrieri; daughter, Courtney Guerrieri, of Herminie; son, Brian (Tara) Guerrieri, of Irwin; four special grandchildren, Isabella, Ava, Nico and Luka; sister, Darlene (Jim) Pompei, of Jeannette; two sisters-in-law, Antoinette "Sissy" Guerrieri, of West Virginia and Diane Dubovsky, of Virginia; brother-in-law, Brian (Kim) Dubovsky, of Cook Forest; and several nieces and nephew and great-nieces and great-nephews. It is a sad relief but also one of joy, to know he is finally at peace and rest and has left us with many warm and wonderful memories of his life. He will be dearly missed by his family, many friends and neighbors. There will be no public visitation. As per David's wishes, he donated his body to the University of Pittsburgh Medical School for medical education and research programs in Pennsylvania. JOSEPH W.
