Randy J. King

Randy J. King, 56, of Herminie, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 17, 1964, in McKeesport, son of the late William and Eileen (Hunter) King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie King. Randy was owner of Pizza Express and Pizza King in Herminie and North Huntingdon for many years. He was a past member of Herminie United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting and going to camp with his dad and brothers. Randy is survived by his girlfriend and care giver, Yvonne Cheek; his son, Eric (Heather) King, of Greensburg; his daughter, Melanie King, of Herminie; three special grandchildren, Isabella, Tristian and Everlee King; five brothers, William (Jane) King, of Clairton, Jerry King, of Herminie, David (Jennene) King, of Sutersville, Brian King, of Smithton, and Scott King, of Erie; three sisters, Deborah Malt, of West Newton, Rita King, of West Newton, and Laurie (Francis) Puklavec, of Herminie; numerous aunts and uncles; nieces, nephews and many cousins. He is also survived by Yvonne's children, Tango Smith, of Madison and Vonne Cheek, of West Virginia; his special friend, Dave Kritschgau. Randy will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday April 3, 2021, at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A private family memorial service will follow in the funeral home with Pastor Randy Landman officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family.
