Robert W. Lubinsky

Robert W. Lubinsky, 82, of Jeannette, formerly of Wendel, passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at his home. He was born Oct. 25, 1939, in Greensburg, a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Minsky) Lubinsky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion, Doris Picciano. Bob was a Navy veteran. Prior to his retirement, he was a bus driver fro the Hempfield School District. His memberships included Herminie VFW Post No. 8427, Wendel Herminie Athletic Association and Herminie SNPJ Lodge No. 87, and he was currently very active at the Herminie Senior Center. He enjoyed polka dancing and was known to all as Bummy in his younger years. He was a very giving, caring and fun-loving man. Bob is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Lubinsky and her husband, Jason Watts, of Hunker; special granddaughter, Adriana; two brothers, Jerry (Fran) Lubinsky, of Manor, and Dennis (Stefanie) Lubinsky, of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews who loved him dearly. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends at the center and his neighbors. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Vincent A. Yee Concepcion.
