Robert J. Rager

Robert J. Rager, 86 of  North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully, on  May 20, 2026, at Independence  Health  System, Greensburg, surrounded by his family. He was born  Feb. 23, 1940, in  Jeannette, son of the late August and Victoria  (Wozny)  Rager. In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his wife, Mona (Gurksnis)  Rager  and  sister, Patricia Emelo. 
Bob was an Army Veteran.  He was  working at Walmart in North Huntingdon as a greeter for many years, making sure everyone was  happy when they left the store.  Bob was a simple man and  loved sitting on his  porch swing. He enjoyed watching western movies.  In his younger years he loved to play softball with his brother-in-law , Deno. 
Bob is survived by  his sister, Dolores “Dolly” (Deno) Royer of Irwin , and  his girlfriend of 16 years, Carol Dent of North Huntingdon; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He is also survived by Carol’s  son, Dustin Marks and  his children, Cage , Autumn, and Rylie.  Bob will be dearly missed by his family, friends and especially his Walmart family.  There will be no public visitation per Bob’s wishes.  JOSEPH NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC.
