Rose Marie (Samulski) Exton passed quietly in the home of her daughter in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 5, 2018, after a peaceful night of listening to polka with family. Preceding her in death are her parents, Helen (Ustazewski) Samulski and Leo Samulski; her devoted husband, Marvin William Exton; her eldest daughter, Deborah (Exton) Feals; and her youngest daughter, Cynthia Exton. Rose Marie reluctantly leaves behind Deborah's husband, David Feals, and their children, Jennifer (Feals) Bryant and husband, Johnathan, Rebecca Feals, and David Feals Jr. Also surviving are Rose Marie's daughter, Kathleen (Exton) Hogan and husband, Timothy Hogan, and their children, Rory and wife Laura, Caitlyn, and Brenna Hogan. Rose Marie was blessed to have time to enjoy great-grandchildren, Ricky Koch, Priscilla, Clemens, Thomas, and Josephine Hogan. At one time a student at Sewickley High School, Rose Marie married her high school sweetheart, Marvin William. She would go on to raise three raven-haired daughters, and later worked at a bakery with a name lost in old stories, and spent 20 years working at Sears in Greensburg. She made too many cookies on holidays and got teased by her family for her tight perm which matched her poodle's hair, and they couldn't have loved her more; the way she melted that special cheese in her coffee for them, the way she played card games with them, the way she stocked her cabinets with everyone's favorites, and the way she looked as she sat slowly and quietly sipping coffee and putting together a puzzle. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Nickels Funeral Home, with a Mass at 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2018, in St. Edward Church, Herminie. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. JOSEPH W.
