Sandy (Meyers) Guttman

 Sandy Guttman, 80, of Irwin, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, in St. Anne Home, Greensburg. She was born Oct. 12, 1936, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Samuel and Jane (Urmilevik) Meyers. Sandy was a member of St. Edward Roman Catholic Church in Herminie, Altar Rosary Society, Sunshine Club, parish council and RCIA. She enjoyed helping out with any function going on at the church. She loved to cook, bake and especially spend time with her grandchildren. Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John Guttman; three daughters, Dr. Linda A. Guttman and her husband, Tom Cooney, of Durham, N.H., Sharon (Greg) Moose, of Greensburg, Sue Whritenour, of Kinnelon, N.J.; a son, Brian (Wendy Mann) Guttman, of Arlington, Va.; seven grandchildren, Liam Cooney, Brittany Moose and Paul Palmer, Ryan Moose, Elizabeth and Jake Guttman, Julia and Dan Whritenour; a special great-granddaughter, Aerianna Palmer; a brother, Samuel (Donna) Meyers, of Sterling, Va.; a sister, Valerie (Eugene) Hall, of Fredericksburg, Va.; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Sandy will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Edward Church, Herminie.
