Sara E. “Sally” Barton, 82, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, in Hempfield Manor, Greensburg, surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 15th, 1942, in Greensburg, daughter of the late Arthur and Sarah J. (Painter) Huffer. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald S. Barton.
Sally was a waitress having worked at the Norwin Diner in North Huntingdon for more than 35 years. She made so many friends and loved going to work each and every day. She was a member of the Herminie United Methodist Church. Sally loved gardening and cleaning her house. She enjoyed decorating for every holiday and especially loved decorating for Christmas with her cardinals and angels. Spending time with her family was always special day, especially with her grandchildren, when they would visit her at the nursing home.
Sally is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Barton and fiance` Adam Dzubak Sr. of West Newton; two special grandsons, Neil Donnelly and companion, Lindsay Mihalko-Altman and Brandon Donnelly and his fiancee` Shannon Shafer; three special great-grandchildren, Alden, Blake and Brooke; numerous cousins. Sally will be dearly missed by her family, friends and the customers she served over the years. The family would like to than the staff at Hempfield Manor for their love and care given to their mom over the past five years. A Memorial Gathering will take place from 1 o’clock to 3 o’clock on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the JOSEPH W.
