Stacy L. (Kurts) Kunkle

Stacy L. Kunkle, 47, of West Newton, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Oct. 10, 1968, in Braddock, loving daughter of Gary and Donna (Grasha) Kurts, of Alabama; and granddaughter of Gayle Kurts, of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ralph D. Kurts; and maternal grandmother, Elaine Naugle; and father-in-law, Thomas Kunkle. Stacy loved spending time with her family and especially her two grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She also loved to travel and visit her family in Alabama. Stacy's famous apple pies and fried cookies will be missed by all and her "I LOVE YOU'S" will be forever in our hearts. Stacy is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 25 years, Kevin R. Kunkle; her son, Cody (Stephanie) Kunkle, of West Newton; her daughter, Elysha Kunkle, of Herminie; two special grandchildren, Nevaeh and Mason Kunkle; her sister, Tina (John) Brown, of Alabama; brother, Gary T. (Sonda) Kurts, of Alabama; her mother-in-law, Darlene Kunkle, of Wendel; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Stacy will be dearly missed by her family friends and neighbors. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251.
