Steven Fryman Obituary

Steven J. “Steve” Fryman, 30, of Smithton formerly of Shanner, tragically passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, due to an automobile accident.  He was born  Dec. 30, 1993 in Jeannette, son of Jeffrey Fryman and step-mom, Lisa Fryman of Somerset and Marie (Guardasoni) Fryman and step-dad, Jeremy Silbaugh of Shanner.  He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harry Guardasoni.
Steven was a 2012 Yough graduate and was a member of the Barren Run Methodist Church. He was so proud to become a journeyman in July with a certificate of apprenticeship and was a member of the IBEW Local Union 5.  Steven was currently working for Light House Electric in Cannonsburg as an electrical contractor.  He enjoyed hunting and just got a passion for taking Waylon fishing and to tractor pulls.  A few of his favorite things to do were trap shooting, archery, camping and sitting around the great campfires he would build. He loved Thirsty Thursday’s with his family: it was always a fun time.
In addition to his parents, Steven is survived by his beloved wife, Amber (Kelley) Fryman; and their little boy, Waylon; in-laws, Brad and Deann Kelley of Smithton; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Guardasoni ; and paternal grandfather, C.W. Fryman; brother-in-law, Nathan (Anna) Kelley of Smithton and special niece, Katie Kelley; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family who loved him dearly. He is also survived by his two special dogs, Miley and Dolly.  His love for his family (especially his son) and his job, will forever be remembered. Steven will be dearly missed by his family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors.
Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1,2024, at the Barren Run United Methodist Church, 569 Barren Run Road, Smithton, PA 15479, additional visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 from 10 a.m. to NOON in the church, at which time a service will be held with Pastor Kimberly Foos presiding.
