Susan M. "Suzi" (Sochacki) Bazzo

Susan M. "Suzi" Bazzo, 70, of Herminie, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her family, after a short courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born Feb. 5, 1951, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Peter and Julia (Glochick) Sochacki. Suzi was 1969 graduate of Sewickley High School and was proud to be head majorette. She was past president of the H.W. Good Elementary PTO for many years. She could always be found hanging out at Crabapple Pool with her children and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Suzi loved her dogs (especially her St. Bernards), cats, birds and any animal she could rescue. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for Painter Tool and Die in Irwin for 10 years. She was a member of St. Edward Church in Herminie. Suzi is survived by her husband of 50 years, Angelo L. Bazzo; daughter, Justine Bazzo, of Herminie; two sons, Blaize Bazzo and fiancee (Missy Lancaster), of Madison, and Chaz Bazzo, of Herminie; brother, Dennis Sochacki, and nephew, Ty Sochacki, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Suzi's smile, laugh and love for her children will forever be remembered. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. The family wishes a special thank you to Hospaws Rescue for helping shelter Suzi's pets during her illness. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the JOSEPH W. NICKELS FUNERAL HOME INC., 404 Sewickley Ave., Herminie, PA 15637, 724-446-7251. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
